Job description

Job Summary:

As a Google Enterprise Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for managing risks to GEN network hardware and software systems, developing automation and tools to enforce security policies, and partnering closely with customers and teams to ensure the designs and solutions are safe and efficient.
Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership and technical direction, driving cross-functional teams to achieve significant organizational impact.
• Develop security framework, policies, standards and baselines for various infrastructures and network designs with the goal of uplifting security and reducing risks.
• Conduct threat modeling and security assessments for various product, services, and offerings to help secure them while collaborating with the teams to develop solutions to help reduce overall risks.
• Experience in developing network and software technologies, with an understanding of associated security risks to recommend risk remediation to both technical and non-technical audience.
• Lead security programs and initiatives from inception to define roadmap, milestones, and impact, with consideration of resourcing, technical issues, and risks factors.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience with network routing protocols, design and troubleshooting, with network equipment providers.
• Experience with planning and designing networks (e.g., multiple sites, multiple products, etc.).
• Experience with network security, network security architecture, threat modeling, security assessment and security standards.
Preferred:
• Experience working with and leading cross-functional teams from technical and non-technical backgrounds to drive positive security outcomes across large scale organizations.
• Experience developing security policies, standards, and controls with practical implementation experience across large scale enterprise network environments.
• Experience in security engineering, security assessment, vulnerability management, and threat modeling, with experience in automation and delivering organization-wide programs.
• Experience developing architectural patterns with several reusable components to drive security at scale.
• Experience in several domains such as network enterprise architecture, identity and access management, network security, application security, cloud security, or infrastructure security.
