Marketing Analytics Intern
Florida Everblades & Hertz Arena

Location: Estero, FL (n-Person Preferred)
Semester: Fall / Spring / Summer (Flexible)
Hours: 15-25 hours per week (Flexible)
Position OverviewThe Florida Everblades and Hertz Arena are seeking a highly motivated Marketing Analytics Intern to support data-driven marketing, fan engagement, partnership marketing performance, and revenue optimization initiatives across professional sports and live entertainment. This internship is designed for students seeking college credit and hands-on experience in marketing analytics, sponsorship measurement, and fan behavior analysis within a professional sports and entertainment environment.
The intern will gain practical experience working with industry-leading analytics, CRM, digital marketing, fundraising, and partnership activation measurement platforms while collaborating with the marketing, ticketing, partnerships, and community relations teams.
Learning ObjectivesBy the completion of this internship, the student will:
  • Develop a working knowledge of marketing analytics in professional sports and live events
  • Learn how data informs fan acquisition, retention, sponsorship value, and revenue strategies
  • Gain hands-on experience with industry-standard marketing, CRM, fundraising, and partnership analytics platforms
  • Understand how partnership assets are measured, reported, and optimized
  • Build analytical, reporting, and presentation skills applicable to sports, entertainment, and marketing careers

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting fan, customer, and partner-related data across ticketing, digital, CRM, auction, and partnership platforms
  • Support performance tracking and reporting for ticket sales, promotions, digital campaigns, charitable initiatives, and corporate partnership activations
  • Help maintain and segment fan and partner databases to support targeted marketing and sponsorship initiatives
  • Analyze email, social, paid media, auction, and partnership marketing performance metrics (impressions, engagement, lead generation, and conversion)
  • Assist in post-event, post-campaign, and post-activation partnership recap reports
  • Support data hygiene, tagging, and attribution best practices across marketing and partnership assets
  • Collaborate with marketing, ticketing, partnerships, and community relations teams on analytics-driven projects and insights

Platforms & Tools (Training Provided)The intern will receive hands-on training and experience using:
  • Stellar Algo - fan data, segmentation, and predictive analytics
  • Meta Business Suite - social and paid media analytics
  • Fannex - fan engagement and CRM insights
  • Vozzi - consumer data and behavioral analytics
  • Mailchimp - email marketing and performance analytics
  • Dash Auction - digital auction, fundraising, and donor engagement analytics
  • Internal partnership tracking and reporting tools used to measure sponsorship and activation performance

Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
  • Eligible to receive academic credit for an internship
  • Majoring in Marketing, Sports Management, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Communications, or a related field
  • Strong interest in sports, live entertainment, and data-driven marketing and sponsorship
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets; basic data analysis skills preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly, professionally, and visually
