Do you love creating engaging social media content, designing eye-catching graphics, and helping promote women's health?
Virginia Physicians for Women is looking for a creative and motivated Marketing & Social Media Intern to join the team this fall/winter semester. This internship offers hands-on experience in healthcare marketing while supporting Richmond's leading women's healthcare practice. Position has potential to work hybrid from VPFW's Koger Center -Midlothian location and intern's home location.
You'll help tell the story of our providers, patients, and community by creating digital content, supporting community drives and events, helping us manage our website and online reputation, and contributing to marketing initiatives that make a difference.
What You'll Do
  • Create social media content across multiple digital platforms.
  • Design graphics, videos, flyers, and promotional materials using Canva.
  • Help coordinate and respond to Google Reviews.
  • Update website and blog content.
  • Support Breast Cancer Awareness, Women's Wellness, and community outreach events.
  • Assist with fundraisers, educational seminars, symposiums, and community partnerships.
  • Create internal signage and marketing materials.
  • Assist with photography, video content, and event promotion.
  • Track social media engagement and marketing performance.
  • Support special marketing projects and administrative initiatives.

Requirements
What We're Looking For
  • Current college or graduate student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Tech-savvy with experience using Canva and social media platforms.
  • Organized and dependable, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortably taking initiative while asking thoughtful questions.
  • Collaborative, works well with others.
  • Interest in healthcare marketing is a plus.
