The Campus Recruiting Manager serves as a strategic advisor and program leader focused on designing, implementing, and leading early-career and pipeline-building initiatives that attract, develop, hire and retain top-tier talent. This role oversees programs such as internships, ensuring they align with organizational workforce needs and long-term talent strategies. This role partners with leaders, training teams, schools, unions, workforce development organizations, and community partners to design and execute a comprehensive talent strategy that supports Generac's workforce needs.
This role sits on-site in Waukesha, WI.
What You'll Do
  • Design, develop, and execute a holistic emerging talent strategy that supports organizational growth and future workforce planning.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders, hiring managers, HR partners, and training teams, with a strong focus on skilled trades and early-career hiring needs.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to assess workforce demand and translate business needs into actionable talent strategies.
  • Build forecasts, cultivate talent pools, and apply best practices to create effective and scalable talent attraction plans.
  • Establish and strengthen relationships with external partners including schools, program administrators, faculty, student organizations, unions, and workforce development organizations.
  • Evaluate the performance of current schools and programs, identifying best practices and opportunities for improvement to drive better outcomes.
  • Oversee the development of a high-quality candidate pipeline that delivers an exceptional candidate experience and differentiated talent.
  • Partner with internal teams to design and execute external recruiting campaigns and partnerships that enhance Generac's employer brand.
  • Lead in-person and virtual attraction, education, and recruiting activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement through brainstorming, innovation, and process optimization.
  • Analyze program metrics, feedback, and talent outcomes to measure effectiveness, demonstrate ROI, and guide future enhancements.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in recruiting, early-career programs, or program management in a corporate or higher-education environment.
  • 3+ years of experience using Applicant Tracking Systems, CRMs, Handshake, and LinkedIn.

Skills & Capabilities
  • Strong organizational, project, and time management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Solid recruiting expertise, including sourcing, screening, career fairs, event management, and social media branding.
  • Experience with recruitment analytics, dashboards, ROI analysis, and stakeholder satisfaction metrics.
  • Excellent consulting, communication, and presentation skills (written and verbal).
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with stakeholders at all levels, from hiring managers to senior leaders.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong program management capabilities.
  • Ability to clearly communicate challenges, risks, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
