In the role ofย Sr. Software Engineerย working inย Milwaukee, WIย you will be part of the Information Technology team reporting to the Senior Manager, Software Engineering.ย ย This role isย a great opportunityย for a very experienced technologist. This personย is responsible forย guiding technology work by collaborating closely with commercial leaders, product managers, and solution architects to understand technical needs and conceive effective solutions withinย Salesforce andย across the technology stack at MCBC.ย ย The roleย regularly worksย with solution and enterprise architecture to review and set design standards; they also develop other software engineers within the team. Success in this role is to be the person that is sought out for their ability to solve business problems with technology in practical yet creative way.ย 

What You'll be Brewing:ย 

  • Work closely with product owners and teams to understand their problems and business processes and use design thinking to creatively conceive end-to end solutionsย that deliver business value and enable development by the delivery teamย ย ย ย  ย 
  • Either directly or working with developers, configure Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applicationsย (e.g.,ย Salesforce)ย to meet the specific needs of sales and marketing teams. Ensure solutions are minimally customized, use standard approaches, and areย optimizedย for performance and usabilityย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  ย 
  • Conductย in-depth analysis of requirements to understand desired functionality, thenย guideย engineersย inย decomposingย solutions andย identifyingย dependencies to ensure end-products meet standards and requirementsย ย 
  • Use full-stackย programming skills,ย knowledge,ย and experience to troubleshootย and remediateย complex issues, including software performance and optimizationย 
  • Escalate issues and risksย in a timely mannerย to keep leadership and stakeholders informedย 
  • Guide, coach, and review the work of other engineers on the delivery team, applying technicalย expertiseย to support successful solution delivery,ย reinforcing best practicesย throughout the SDLC (plan,ย design, build, test, deploy,ย andย maintain).ย 
  • Manage projects and processes for a single delivery team, navigating high complexity problems and solutions across multiple domainsย 
  • Influence team members through technical leadership and share learnings with the broader organizationย 
  • Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in SaaS applications, configurations, and software engineering for the sales and marketing arenaย 

Key Ingredients:ย 

  • You have a bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering OR equivalent experienceย ย 
  • You have 5+ย years of experienceย in software engineering or related discipline;ย experience in theย Consumer Packagedย Goods (CPG) industry a plusย 
  • You have Salesforce experienceย 
  • You have experience building end-to-end solutions across commercial platforms including CRM, pricing and promotional management, direct-to-consumer marketing, e-commerce, and content management andย syndication.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  ย 
  • You can apply methods such as design thinking to understand business problems and create simple/elegant solutions, minimizing complexity and customizationย ย ย ย ย  ย 
  • You have a provenย track recordย of working with DevOps practices and toolsย ย ย ย ย  ย 
  • You have expertย proficiencyย in three or more programming languages and associated development tools, with the ability to rapidly learnย additionalย languages andย tooling. ย

Job Posting Total Rewards Offerings: $109,100.00ย -ย $143,200.00ย (posting salary range) +ย 15%ย target short term incentiveย +ย $23,000ย on average spent on benefits per employee, including but not limited to health, dental, vision, retirement with above market employer match, wellness incentives and EAP + paid time off (including holidays, vacation days and sick days).
