Job description

ABOUT ROCKET MONEY
Rocket Money's mission is to help millions of people transform their financial lives.
We build products that give members clarity and control over their finances. From canceling subscriptions to lowering bills and growing savings automatically, we design experiences that make financial progress feel achievable, empowering, and human - never overwhelming.
Design at Rocket Money exists to make complex financial decisions unmistakably clear, trustworthy, and easy to act on.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Product Designer, Growth at Rocket Money, you will focus on designing key moments across onboarding, activation, monetization, and retention within our mobile-first product.
You'll focus on onboarding, upgrade flows, cancellation paths, pricing surfaces, and in-app nudges. These are high-visibility, high-impact experiences that directly shape activation, conversion, and retention. This team uses experimentation, behavioral insight, and data analysis to continuously refine the member journey.
This is a role for a designer who loves iteration, understands behavioral nuance, and cares deeply about designing testable solutions, and shipping measurable improvements while maintaining a high bar for usability, accessibility, and system integrity.
WHAT YOU'LL DO •
  • Lead creative experimentation by designing A/B and multivariate tests with Product, Engineering, and Data to unlock new growth opportunities.
  • Shape upgrade and value communication moments so they feel clear, confident, and trustworthy.
  • Translate complex financial decisions into clear user flows that reduce uncertainty and cognitive load.
  • Rapidly prototype and iterate on experiments, moving quickly while maintaining thoughtful design craft.
  • Leverage existing design system patterns to move efficiently and cohesively, while recognizing when experimentation calls for new approaches.
  • Ensure growth surfaces feel consistent with the broader product experience while maintaining room for iteration.
  • Design persuasive but transparent value exchanges that strengthen long-term member confidence.
  • Use both behavioral data and qualitative insights to inform design decisions and validate results.
  • Contribute scalable patterns back into Rocket Money's design system when experiments prove successful.
  • Communicate experiment rationale, tradeoffs, and performance outcomes clearly to stakeholders.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
  • Our members understand what they're being offered and why Rocket Money provide value.
  • Experiences that feel polished, human, and on brand bringing moments of delight to the growth journey.
  • Growth experiments increase activation or subscription upgrades without increasing friction or support volume.
  • New monetization or retention surfaces feel like a natural extension of the product, not an interruption.
  • Experiments that win can scale cleanly within the system.
ABOUT YOU
  • 3-5+ years of experience in product design, UI/UX design, or interaction design.
  • Experience in growth, conversion rate optimization (CRO), activation, retention, or monetization.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating experimentation work (A/B testing, iteration, funnel optimization).
  • Experience working within mobile app ecosystems.
  • Comfortable working with design systems and component libraries, creating solutions that align with established patterns while recognizing when new approaches are worth exploring.
  • Able to simplify complex information into intuitive, actionable decisions.
  • Thoughtful about ethical persuasion and long-term member trust.
  • Clear communicator who thrives in collaborative, cross-functional environments.
WE OFFER
  • Health, Dental & Vision Plans
  • Competitive Pay
  • Matching 401k
  • Unlimited PTO
  • Remote-friendly culture
  • Bonus eligibility

Salary range: $140,000 - $160,000/year + bonus + benefits. Base pay may vary depending on knowledge, skill, and experience.
Rocket Money is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability status.
