Job description

RINA is currently recruiting for a Marine Design & Engineering US Operations Junior Project Manager to join its office within theย Americas Marine Engineeringย Division.

Mission

The Junior Project Manager will support other project managers throughout the project life cycle and will be responsible for supporting the execution of project plans, ensuring completion of deliverables within the defined deadlines, scope, and budget. The Associate Project Manager is accountable for obtaining and managing adequate resources to meet all project objectives in the most efficient and effective manner.

Key Accountabilities

1. Project Management:
- Assist in developing project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget.
- Collaborate with senior project managers to define project objectives and deliverables.
- Contribute to the development of project timelines and milestones
2 .Engineering calculations
- Collaborating with engineers and technical experts to understand and incorporate engineering calculations into project plans.
- Ensuring that engineering calculations are accurate and align with project requirements.
3. Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Support team members in their tasks and responsibilities.
- Foster a positive and collaborative working environment.
4. Coordination:
- Constant Follow up on project activities and ensure that tasks are completed on time.
- Liaise with various internal stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication between different project teams and departments.
5. Budget Management:
- Contribute to the development of project budgets.
- Monitor project expenses and assist in controlling costs.
- Report on budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
6.Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery.
- Assist in developing risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and report on project risks to senior management.
7. Quality Assurance:
- Work with the project team to ensure that deliverables meet quality standards.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance processes.
- Participate in project reviews and audits.
8. Documentation:
- Maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, progress reports, and project schedules.
- Help prepare and review project proposals, contracts, and other relevant documents.
- Ensure that all project documentation is organized and accessible.
9. Reporting:
- Generate regular project status reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide updates on project milestones, risks, and issues during team meetings.
10. Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Implement lessons learned from past projects.

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering General
Qualifications
  • Relevant internship experience or 1-5 years of related experience in engineering or construction related field
  • Engineering Knowledge:
    • Basic understanding of engineering concepts and calculations.
    • Ability to collaborate with engineers and technical experts.
    • Ensure accurate incorporation of engineering calculations into project plans
  • Software Skills:
    • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
    • Familiarity with engineering software is a plus.
