Position Summary:
Bear Flag Fish Company is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Entry-Level Accounts Payable Clerk to join our
accounting team! This role supports daily accounts payable operations, including invoice
processing, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing payment documentation. This
is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in accounting or finance and
gain hands-on experience in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
This position offers a hybrid work schedule, with a combination of in-office and remote work
following the initial training period.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review, code, and enter vendor invoices accurately into the accounting system
  • Match purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documentation
  • Verify approvals and resolve discrepancies with vendors or internal departments
  • Prepare check runs and payment batches for review and approval (does not process
  • or release payments)
  • Maintain organized digital and physical vendor files
  • Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding items
  • Respond to vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Assist with month-end closing tasks and reporting
  • Support audits by providing requested documentation
  • Perform general administrative and accounting support duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree or coursework in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
  • 01 year of accounting or office experience (internships welcome)
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) helpful but not
