The Financial Management Trainee program is designed to prepare high-potential candidates for future Financial Management positions within the company. Throughacombination of on-the-jobtraining andformal learning opportunities, trainees will developexpertisein credit management, collections, financial analysis, construction risk management, and business operations.

Participants will work closely with financialandbranch leadership teams while gaining a comprehensive understanding of company policies, procedures, andobjectives. Successful trainees will be considered for advancement opportunities upon completion of the training program.

In this role you will:

  • Complete training on financialmanagementbest practices and apply learning to daily responsibilities, including collections management, key performance metrics, and overall administration of the accounts receivable portfolio.

  • Obtain credit information, financial statements, reports, and other relevant data to evaluate customer creditworthiness.

  • Learn and apply the National Credit Standard (NCS) and Credit Financial Analysis (CFA) models to support sound credit decisions.

  • Assistin customer credit evaluations and credit approvals as delegated.

  • Assistwith the review, maintenance, and administration of customer credit files and credit card programs.

  • Support collection efforts through customer contact, correspondence, account reviews, and payment follow-up activities.

  • Handle routine customer communications, including phone calls, emails, and written correspondence.

  • Secure and review project-related information, including notices, contracts, lien rights documentation, bond information, and other credit protection tools.

  • Develop an understanding of construction project risk management, contract review, lien rights, bond claims, and other financial risk mitigation practices.

  • Assistwithaccount analysis and interpretation of key business metrics.

  • Develop professional communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills through interactions with customers, sales teams, suppliers, and company leadership.

  • Partner with branch and regional leadership teams to gain an understanding of operational and financial decision-making.

  • Cross-trainwith other departments to gain exposure to various business functions and develop a broad understanding of company operations.

  • Become familiar with branch, district, andcorporateorganizational structures and management responsibilities.

  • Participate in special projects and complete assignments within established deadlines.

What you bring to the table:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Management, ora relatedfield preferred.

  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, vendors, and internal business partners.

  • Demonstrated leadership potential through academic, professional, volunteer, or extracurricular activities.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.

  • Valid Driver's License;some travel isrequired.

  • Willingness torelocatefor future career advancement opportunities

  • Internship or professional experience in finance, banking, credit, construction, or business operations.

  • Experience reviewing and analyzing financial statements or business data.

  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and basic data analysis techniques.

Shift and Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Compensation Details: The expected starting rate of pay for this position is $28.00 per hour, depending on experience.
