Job description

Job Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment, demonstrating precision, efficiency, and a commitment to safety. This role plays a crucial part in our construction projects, ensuring the proper handling and operation of equipment to meet project requirements.
Responsibilities
Equipment Operation
  • Operate heavy machinery, including but not limited to pavers, excavators, loaders, and graders, skidsteers, backhoes, roller, power brooms, and milling machines according to project requirements.
  • Safely and efficiently maneuver equipment to perform tasks such as excavation, grading, and material handling.

Safety Compliance
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines during equipment operation.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks and routine inspections to ensure equipment is in optimal condition.

Maintenance and Repairs
  • Perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or issues promptly for timely repairs.

Quality Control
  • Operate equipment with precision to achieve accurate results in grading, excavation, paving, milling, and material handling.
  • Monitor and adjust equipment settings to meet project specifications.

Documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and project-related information.

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator or similar role.
  • Proficiency in operating various heavy equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and graders.
