This full-time position will allow you to make a significant impact on the lives of patients by providing comprehensive rehabilitation services in a home care setting. You will work collaboratively with our medical team to enhance the recovery and quality of life for individuals following orthopedic procedures and treatments.

Work Environment

This role is onsite in the home care environment, providing flexibility and convenience for both you and the patients. The schedule for this position is from Monday to Friday, with shifts running from 2 PM to 8 PM. This enables a concentrated focus on patient care during the latter part of the day when many patients may require therapy after other daily activities. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Copperfield Orthopedic Rehab Clinic, you will:

  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care by managing therapeutic processes for assigned patients in collaboration with physicians and the healthcare team.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate functional needs and customize care plans tailored to individual rehabilitation goals.
  • Implement and oversee a range of therapeutic interventions, ensuring adherence to the physician's plans and striving for optimal recovery outcomes.
  • Provide hands-on physical therapy in patients' homes, utilizing evidence-based practices and innovative techniques to promote functional improvement.
  • Evaluate and document each patient's progress meticulously to adjust treatment approaches as necessary and enable informed decision-making.
  • Educate patients and their families about therapy exercises, therapeutic devices, and self-care strategies to facilitate recovery outside of treatment sessions.
  • Coordinate with nursing and support staff to prioritize patient caseloads and optimize team efficiency for excellent patient care delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients, including those recovering from joint surgeries, sports injuries, fractures, and other musculoskeletal conditions. The role also involves working with a diverse demographic, including both adults and children, requiring adaptability and a comprehensive approach to treatment. Qualifications
  • A valid and active Physical Therapy License in California.
  • Completion of a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or the willingness to obtain certification within 30 days of the start date.
  • No prior professional experience in the field is necessary; we welcome recent graduates.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with home health services is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with orthopedic conditions and treatments through coursework or clinical internship placements.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population.
