ROLE DESCRIPTION:
State Farm of Clovis and Sanger are seeking an organized and efficient specialist to fulfill administrative duties and support insurance agents in gaining and keeping customers. As one of six interns with our agency, you will enter a rigorous 12 week program which will be broken up into three phases: 1.) Learning and Licensing; 2.) Prospecting and appointment setting; and 3.) Shadow rotations.
At the end of the internship there will be two full time positions available for qualifying intern graduates looking for longer employment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist the business goals of the insurance agency with mutually agreed upon expectations.
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service. Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions and billing clarification.
  • Use a customer-focused, needs-based review process to educate customers about insurance options.
  • Use exemplary communication to efficiently meet the needs of customers while promoting the development of our business.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • To be eligible for an internship, you must have completed coursework or expressed interest in areas such as Insurance, Financial Services, Real Estate, Marketing, Organizational Leadership, etc.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as operate independently
  • Effective customer service and interpersonal skills, including the ability to create, build, and maintain relationships with internal and external parties
  • Prioritization, time management, and organizational skills to meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail

Compensation: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
