JOB TITLE: Numerical Control Programmer 3
LOCATION: Everett, WA
PAY RATE: $61.75/hour

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

  • Provides numerical control, machining and programming technical experience.

  • Establishes technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility.

  • Plans, creates, verifies and revises Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry and documentation for numerically controlled equipment.

  • Plans and guides the development and integration of new machining techniques and manufacturing methods, processes, software and equipment.

  • Works with ABB RobotStudio, ABB robots, KUKA robots, Fanuc robots, and automation control systems.

  • Works with design, machining, and robot cell programming.

  • Uses CAD or CAM software including CATIA, Vericut simulation, MasterCAM, Robot Studio, and CENIT.

  • Applies high-speed machining techniques in a production environment.

  • Reads, understands, and interprets engineering drawings.

  • Performs 3D modeling for robotics and machining applications.

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor 1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).

  • 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience with high-speed machining in a production environment.

  • Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings.

  • Preferred: Experience as machinist or robotics with shop floor programming skills.

  • Preferred: Experience in CAD or CAM software including CATIA, Vericut, MasterCAM, Robot Studio, and CENIT.

  • Preferred: Certification or training in automation or robotics.

  • Preferred: Experience working in a production environment.

  • Preferred: Experience with 3D modeling.

  • Preferred: Experience with ABB RobotStudio, ABB, KUKA, and Fanuc robots.
