Our goal is to support athletes in achieving peak performance through individualized coaching and innovative methodology.

Type: Internship (8โ€“12 hrs/week; 3โ€“6 months, flexible; starts non-paid or can earn for-credit)

Weโ€™re a sports performance center focused on helping athletes improve strength, speed, mobility, and injury resilience through evidence-based coaching and data-driven programming. Our internship provides hands-on experience in athlete support, performance testing, and analytics โ€” ideal for students or early-career candidates who want to combine a passion for fitness with sport science and data work.

Position Summary: The Sports Performance & Analytics Intern will support coaches and performance staff with daily operations, athlete testing, data collection/analysis, and video review. This role is a blend of practical training-floor experience and foundational analytics work to help quantify athlete progress and inform programming decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and record performance testing (vertical jump, sprint times, agility tests, strength benchmarks) and ensure data integrity.
  • Capture, tag, and organize training and testing video; perform basic video-based movement analysis.
  • Enter, clean, and maintain athlete databases and testing spreadsheets.
  • Produce regular summary reports and visualizations (charts, tables, brief notes) to show athlete progress.
  • Support recovery and mobility sessions under supervision.
  • Help manage athlete check-ins, scheduling, and client communications as needed.
  • Maintain gym spaces and equipment; follow safety and hygiene protocols.

Qualifications (required)

  • Desire to learn analytics and apply data to coaching decisions.
  • Basic familiarity with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets).
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional when interacting with athletes and staff.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment (up to ~50 lbs), stand for multi-hour sessions, and work varying hours (early mornings/after-school/evenings).
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. (if applicable).

Preferred / Helpful Skills

  • Coursework or experience in kinesiology, exercise science, data analytics, biomechanics, or statistics.
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

What Youโ€™ll Learn

  • How to design, administer, and interpret common performance tests.
  • Methods for collecting, cleaning, and visualizing sport-performance data.
  • Video-based movement analysis workflow and practical application to programming.
  • How to translate analytics into actionable coaching cues and program adjustments.
