Position summary
Teach graduate courses in school psychology, advise school psychology students, serve on dissertation committees, serve on departmental and university committees, maintain an active research agenda as documented through publications and presentations, and provide service to the university and community.
Qualifications summary
- Earned doctorate in School Psychology.
- State or national (NCSP) certification as a school psychologist
- Minimum 3-years working in the field as a school psychologist
- Evidence of scholarship through research publications and presentations
- Advanced skills in verbal and written English
- Detailed oriented and organized with good analytical skills
- Ability to demonstrate inclusivity, civility, and respect for all
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Capable of working closely with other faculty in a team-oriented environment
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing. Duties and responsibilities
- Must have the ability to teach courses at various times, including evenings and various course delivery formats (virtual, distance, face-to-face, hybridetc.,). Some travel to extension campus and internship sites may be required
- Ability to teach: a) Psychological Assessment and Intervention courses, b) Consultation in Schools, c) Internship and/or Practicum d) Psychological Testing and e) Professional and Ethics courses f) and other courses in related departmental programs
- Stay informed of current trends and new approaches to instruction, and new developments in the school psychology field via professional development activities
- Maintain professional development/growth according to personal needs and certification requirements
- Maintain an active research agenda demonstrated through presentations at national conferences, and publications. Participate in student dissertation committees, serving as either chair or member
Supervisory responsibilities
Directly supervises 1-2 graduate assistants. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the University's policies and applicable laws
Qualifications

- Effectively organize a wide variety of documents, files and information in various formats and levels of confidentiality.
- Ability to prepare a wide variety of reports and written materials (e.g. correspondence, notices, letters, data analysis, handbooks, minutes, newsletters, etc.).
- Ability to teach on various online platforms (zoom, Microsoft Teams, Learning Hub. .etc) and delivery formats (virtual, face-to-face, and hybrid)
