As the Executive Director of IS Clinical Operations and Transformation, you will play a pivotal role in driving systemwide clinical, operational, and cultural transformation across the health system focusing on the systems and technology aspects.

 The Executive Director of IS Clinical Operations and Transformation is responsible for: 

  • Leads in designing, executing, and evaluating initiatives that improve care quality; enhance patient, colleague, and provider experiences; strengthen clinical outcomes, systemness, and standardization; and advance organizational and financial performance and productivity.
  • Collaborates closely with physicians, nursing leadership, operational leaders, and multidisciplinary teams; implements evidence-based practices, optimizes workflows, and ensures organizational strategic priorities alignment, safety, quality, value-based care, population health, and overall systemness.
  • Oversees complex, multi-site transformation programs; leverages data analytics, change management, and continuous improvement methodologies to achieve measurable, sustainable results.
  • Champions a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation; ensures transformation efforts support the health system's mission to deliver high-quality, equitable, patient-centered care.
  • Demonstrates integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence (I CARE values).
  • Ensures efficient resources usage. Performs miscellaneous duties.
  • Communicates information timely via appropriate channels.
  • Displays an understanding of diversity.
  • Manages departmental budget. Meet goals/expectations established over the previous year.
  • Manages human resources for direct reports.
  • Meets or exceeds all The Joint Commission (TJC) requirements.
  • Solves problems; recommends sound solutions.
  • Enhances and contributes to a safe environment for all colleagues, visitors, and patients.

Reports to:

  • Chief Information Officer/VP

Supervises:

  • Director/IT Financial/3rd-Party Systems
  • Director/IT Application Services (Manages Epic, Workday, Lawson, and Infor)

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, nursing, informatics, or a related healthcare field.
    • Note: Human Resources (HR) may accept directly related professional experience on a 1-year: 1-year basis. Experience credited in lieu of education will not be applied to the minimum experience requirement below and vice versa (i.e., the same experience will not be counted twice).

Experience:

  • Required: Ten (10) years of healthcare IT experience (including strategic leadership, nursing, informatics, and enterprise application development and management)

  • Required: None.
