Job description

Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging, is looking for a Quality Manager to join our team at our Rhinelander location. In this role, you'll lead quality initiatives, support a great team, and help ensure the products we produce meet the highest standards for customers you already know and trust.
About the Role
Are you a quality leader who thrives at the intersection of systems, people, and manufacturing excellence? As our Quality Manager, you'll serve on the Plant Leadership Team and own the quality function at the facility level - from lab operations and customer relationships to ISO management systems and continuous improvement. This is a high-impact leadership role where your expertise directly protects our customers, empowers our associates, and drives operational performance.
What You'll Do
  • Lead and continuously improve ISO 9001 & ISO 22000 Quality Management Systems
  • Oversee QC Lab operations, calibration programs, and test method development
  • Drive customer complaint resolution, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive actions
  • Manage supplier quality issues and incoming material performance
  • Champion continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives across the plant
  • Support new product commercialization by establishing quality standards from development through launch
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing quality team
  • Serve as the plant's primary quality contact for customers, auditors, and suppliers

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Standard Monday-Friday schedule with flexibility for plant operations, audits, and customer needs
  • Ability to stand, walk, and navigate manufacturing areas; lift up to 50 lbs occasionally; PPE required in designated areas (hearing protection, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes)
  • Travel: Up to 25% (customer visits, supplier visits, audits, cross-site activities)
