Job Description

Core skills and experience:

  • Experience programming PLC-based control systems.
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Studio 5000 / Logix Designer.
  • Experience developing HMI applications.
  • Experience with FactoryTalk Optix, or strong Rockwell HMI experience with the ability and willingness to learn Optix.
  • Familiarity with electrical controls, sensors, I/O, and instrumentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
  • Understanding of PLC programming concepts such as sequencing, interlocks, alarms, fault handling, analog signals, and data handling.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with electrical, mechanical, and other technical team members.
  • Ability to manage priorities and work independently when needed.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel for customer support and equipment commissioning.
  • Ability to commute to our Pontiac, MI facility on a daily basis.
