Position
CSUF faculty are teacher-scholars who bring research and creative discovery into the classroom and into individually mentored student experiences. They teach broadly in their programs, advise and mentor students, and contribute through service to the department, college, university, profession, and community.
The successful candidate will teach introductory and advanced courses in Entertainment and Hospitality Management and may contribute to other Management courses as assigned. Courses may include Entertainment Business, Entertainment Money Management, Entertainment Operations, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Music Business, Sport Management, and related subjects. The search is broad. Candidates whose teaching, research, or professional experience relates to entertainment, hospitality, tourism, services, sport, media, music, events, or related management settings may be considered. The successful candidate will maintain an active program of peer-reviewed scholarship appropriate for tenure; advise and mentor students; and participate in department, college, university, and professional service. The candidate may also contribute to the Center for Entertainment and Hospitality Management and to industry, alumni, or community engagement.

The Department of Management offers undergraduate and graduate coursework across several management disciplines. Faculty responsibilities include teaching, scholarship, student mentoring, and service. The department houses the Center for Entertainment and Hospitality Management, which connects faculty and students with industry and community partners.

Compensation
The Assistant Professor (Academic Year) classification salary range is $6,221 to $13,224 monthly (12 monthly payments per academic year). The anticipated hiring range is $11,029 to $11,250 per month.
Salary offered is commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, the California Equal Pay Act prohibits employers from paying its employees less than those of the opposite sex and/or another race or ethnicity for substantially similar work (https://www.dir.ca.gov/dlse/california_equal_pay_act.htm).
Summer research grants, moving expenses, startup funds, and a reduced teaching load may be available.
