Job description

Job Description
Provide the highest level of service and customer satisfaction by ensuring all inbound and outbound shipments are accurate, free of damage and processed in a timely manner.
Essential Functions of this Role:
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for receiving, stocking of all inbound shipments; unload and load materials onto or from shipping containers, pallets, racks, and shelves.
  • Maintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing requests, recording amounts of items received, and counting of physical inventory.
  • Operate manual dollies, manual platform lifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and hand tools used in warehouse operations safely and as instructed.
  • Identify obvious damage to equipment and materials through visual inspection.
  • Stock, arrange, and rotate warehouse items in accordance with standard operating procedures and/or guidance from supervisor.
  • Prepare orders by ensuring correct products and quantities are picked and prepared for shipment.
  • Pack and weigh any orders that require such handling when necessary.
  • Match invoices to shipping labels.
  • Stage material in proper location for shipment
  • Operate voice directed picking equipment - able to hear and speak into headset.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow directions to meet deadlines.
  • Follows all safety and security procedures.
  • Meet or exceed accuracy and productivity expectations.
  • Assist in other departments of the warehouse, as necessary.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None

Work Environment:
  • Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with variable noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperature variations.
  • Due to forklifts and other equipment traveling through the warehouse the environment can be noisy, dusty, may emit gas fumes, and create excessive vibrations.

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to move around in a large, fast-paced warehouse for 8 or more hours.
  • Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75lbs frequently.
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking on concrete surfaces.
  • Requires bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching.
  • Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.

Expected Hours of Work:
  • Must be available during standard operating hours, Monday through Friday
  • Start and end times may vary due to operational needs.
  • Remaining flexible with working schedules is required, to include work overtime, evenings, and weekends.

Travel:
  • None

Required Education, Experience and Skills:
  • Must have the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English for business and safety purposes.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 to 2 years of related experience and/or education
  • Positive attitude - work as part of a team and/or independently
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relations with people in different functions.
  • Active listening skills
  • Basic math, reading, and voice comprehension is a must.
  • Ability to read packs, order labels, other information and match visible items and other data.
  • Maintain regular attendance.

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:
  • Reliable transportation
  • Previous knowledge of RF equipment
  • Basic knowledge of general warehouse layout, item identification, warehouse procedures, and storage areas to pull stock and materials.

Pay Range:
