Overview
Shift: Monday - Thursday 8 pm - 6:30 am
Receives, ships, transfers and stores raw materials, packaging materials and finished products and other material in a safe and organized manner using powered industrial trucks. Maintains the quality of perishable items and inventories of all warehouse goods. Supplies packaging and processing areas with supplies as needed to ensure continuous production.
Responsibilities
  • Receives materials from vendor(s) and/or warehouse(s) and places to stock by forklift. Verifies lot and quantity.
  • Signs papers indicating correct quantities or weight per load.
  • Moves pallets of ingredients and materials to filling lines, warehouse locations, spice room and/or moves full pallets of finished product to storage or warehouse(s).
  • Loads orders to be shipped from receiving dock.
  • Consolidate required quantity of material, ingredients, or product into specified order lots.
  • May require operation of forklift, high lift, order picker, pallet jacks, etc...
  • Completes safety check on equipment prior to usage including, but not limited to, battery, brakes, lift controls, and all safety devices.
  • Performs warehouse cleaning duties including keeping work area neat and orderly at all times.
  • Rotates and clean up spice racks and ingredients cooler.
  • Receives verbal and/or written instructions from Supervisor.
  • Ensures receipt of raw materials, packaging materials and finished products according to company procedures.
  • Replenishes supplies of packaging and raw materials to production areas as needed.
  • Unloads inbound materials and inspects containers for damage.
  • Inspects, operates and maintains power lifting equipment.
  • Returns production materials to appropriate warehouse racks after use.
  • Wraps and prepares finished product pallets for shipping.
  • Maintains company standards for cleanliness, food and equipment safety and productivity in the production area.
  • Rotates raw and packaging materials upon receipt and when returning to storage after use.
  • Ensures all raw materials containers are proplerly labeled.
  • Identifies products to be shipped, verifies label and codes, loads appropriate amount onto trucks to be shipped.
  • Enters information for inventory of products corresponding to amount received and shipped.
  • Ensures compliance to quality, food safety, 5S, OSHA and HACCP support programs; assures conformity to all company, customer and government standards.
  • Transports waste to waste collection area
  • Load empty drums as required.
  • Empty parking lot trash cans.
  • Perform all other duties as required, assigned or directed by Supervisor.

Qualifications
1-3 years of forklift experience in an industrial manufacturing environment. Food manufacturing is a plus!
High School Diploma preferred
Working Conditions/Environment
The production environment is loud and associates are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Associates may be exposed to dust, chemicals, and allergens. The associate is required to sit, stand, bend, lift in excess of 50lbs.
