Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Software Engineer Intern to join McKesson High Volume Solutions Inc. for the Summer 2027 term. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to real-world projects, learn from experienced professionals, and gain hands-on experience in software development within a dynamic healthcare technology environment.

Intern Program Details:

Paid Internship

Full time / 10 weeks

Position will be based out of Colorado

The internship program provides networking, access to executives, structured performance & coaching

Experiential learning and training provided by exposure to subject matter experts

Job Responsibilities
* Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and deployment of new features and enhancements.
* Collaborate with senior engineers and product teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
* Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in accordance with established coding standards.
* Assist in identifying and resolving software defects and performance issues.
* Contribute to code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
* Learn and apply new technologies, tools, and methodologies relevant to McKesson's software ecosystem.
* Document technical designs, processes, and procedures.
* Engage in team meetings, stand-ups, and other collaborative activities.
Job Qualifications
* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
* Expected graduation date of December 2027 or later.
* Strong foundational understanding of software development principles and data structures.
* Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, C++, Python, C#).
* Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
* Prior internship experience or personal projects demonstrating software development aptitude is a plus.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
