Job description

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Therapist (licensed or registered; LMFT AMFT LCSW) at San Pasqual Academy in Escondido, CA

San Pasqual Academy is located on a beautiful 238 acres in rural San Pasqual Valley. SPA is equipped with all the amenities of a private high school, including classrooms, an auditorium, gym, and cafeteria. On grounds sports and activities include basketball, softball, and football. Our unique campus features residential staff and house parents serving as surrogate parents who mentor and tutor students, teach age-appropriate independent living skills, create opportunities to explore new interests, encourage participation in sports and recreation, assist in the exploration of career and job opportunities, and promote family living skills.

Pay: Rate starting at $72,000 per year; $5000.00 Sign-On Bonus for Full-Time Clinical position paid out at 3 and 6 Months!

What you will do: You will provide individual, family, and group therapy as indicated by program needs, including clinical assessment, service planning, record keeping, and service coordination with a multidisciplinary team. You will develop and oversee the completion of treatment plans on an individual, family, and group basis, document and assess the effectiveness of interventions toward treatment goals, and maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation. You will participate in crisis intervention when needed, prepare monthly progress notes and discharge summaries, provide clinical supervision to staff and interns as assigned, and collaborate closely with education, residential, and clinical leadership to support student outcomes.

To be considered you must: Candidates must demonstrate empathy, patience, and respect, with a genuine desire to work with at-risk adolescents. Applicants are required to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, physical exam, and TB test. A current State Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record for the past three years is required. Candidates must be licensed or registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences and have experience working in a residential setting and or with at-risk adolescent populations. Familiarity with navigating an Electronic Health Records system, preferably EXYM, is required. Strong communication, written, and organizational skills, along with effective time management and the ability to meet multiple deadlines, are essential for success in this role.
