Job Description

As an Electrical Engineer, you will perform research, conduct experiments, gather data, develop preliminary findings, and report on your discoveries. Individuals in this role follow established standards, principles, theories, and techniques in performing testing and engineering research. You will apply judgment and provide recommended solutions associated with your findings, participating directly in the development of new solutions that drive improvements in product quality, performance, and strategic innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Status: On-site (Miamisburg, OH)

  • Design new products from concept phase to mass production, utilizing individual creativity to resolve complex design and materials problems.

  • Participate as part of an innovative hardware development team, contributing during conceptual design and architectural strategic planning sessions, providing technical input, and performing design reviews.

  • Present information and effectively communicate with cross-functional teams while managing milestones and participating in architectural reviews to achieve top-line growth objectives.

  • Maintain awareness of advances in technology and competitive intellectual property, leveraging internal and external experts to accomplish goals.

  • Provide foundational technical support for existing printer product lines, including resolving manufacturing yield issues, addressing field quality concerns, and evaluating alternative electronic components to help mitigate supply chain disruptions or component obsolescence.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 0-1 years of experience (academic projects or internships focused on Mixed Signal Circuit Design are a plus).

  • Exposure to electrical circuit design concepts (schematic capture and PCB layout), with familiarity in Mentor Graphics or similar EDA tools a plus.  

  • Basic electrical circuit modeling and simulation experience through academic coursework (such as LTSpice or TINA) along with the ability to learn how to instrument, measure, and troubleshoot circuits.

  • Demonstrable basic competency with standard lab test equipment (oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, electronic loads, etc.) and academic exposure to or interest in RFID, SPI, I2C, Wi-Fi, USB, analog, or power circuits.

  • Self-motivated to initiate and implement tasks, learn new strategies, and work independently while successfully contributing to a fast-paced team environment with excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Familiarity with precision motor drive circuits, thermal printhead control logic, regulatory frameworks for EMC, and Safety is a plus.
