POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a resilient, high-energy, experienced Electrical Engineer to join Axiom's Lunar Terrain Vehicle (LTV) program in support of NASA's LTV Services (LTVS) contract in partnership with Astrolab. The role requires strong problem solving, organizational, time management, and communication skills. Experience in Extravehicular Activities (EVA) and Extravehicular Robotics (EVR) operations and hardware is desired.

Employment in this role is contingent on Astrolab/Axiom being selected as a winner of NASA's LTVS contract award.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leading the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications.

  • Ensuring designs satisfy requirements and demonstrate performance in a thorough verification and validation program.

  • Planning and performing testing of components and integrated assemblies.

  • Overseeing the integration of electrical systems into larger projects, ensuring system functionality, reliability, and safety.

  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and mechanical engineering to ensure cohesive system design.

  • Conducting detailed analysis and simulation of physical systems to predict performance and identify potential issues.

  • Driving innovation in electrical system design, exploring new technologies and methodologies to enhance product capabilities.

  • Managing project timelines, resources, and deliverables related to electrical engineering tasks.

  • Preparing and presenting technical reports, design documentation, and project updates to stakeholders.

  • Performing additional job duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in STEM from an accredited institution

  • 0-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, avionics, or related field

  • Familiarity with implementation of NASA Standards, Federal Standards, and/or DOD Standards

  • Experience with embedded system design with micro controller integration

  • Experience with PCB routing and high frequency signal routing

  • Experience with electrical system design tools and simulation software (e.g., Altium, SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice)

Requirements

  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
