Original Content Manager
Department: Marketing

Location: Dover, NH
Position Summary
The Original Content Manager is responsible for capturing, creating, editing, and publishing the daily story of Q. This role owns the creation of original photo and video content across all social media platforms, showcasing the people, products, culture, engineering, manufacturing, and innovation that define the Q brand.
The Original Content Manager serves as the eyes and ears of the marketing department, proactively identifying compelling stories and documenting authentic moments throughout the organization. Success in this role is driven by creativity, speed, consistency, and the ability to produce engaging content that connects with customers while supporting Q's marketing objectives and brand identity.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Content Creation & Storytelling
  • Capture daily activities throughout Q, including engineering, manufacturing, product development, testing, customer interactions, events, and company culture.
  • Produce original photo and video content for social media, digital marketing campaigns, and other marketing initiatives.
  • Tell authentic stories that highlight Q's products, employees, innovation, and brand personality.
  • Identify unique content opportunities before they happen and proactively document key moments.
  • Maintain a consistent pipeline of engaging content across all marketing channels.
Video Production & Editing
  • Film, edit, and publish high-quality video content with quick turnaround times.
  • Produce content including product demonstrations, behind-the-scenes videos, employee spotlights, engineering features, product testing, company announcements, event coverage, range days, customer stories, educational content, and product launches.
  • Edit content using professional editing software while maintaining Q's visual identity and brand standards.
  • Create platform-specific versions of content optimized for each social media channel.
  • Add graphics, captions, music, branding, and other visual elements to enhance audience engagement.
Social Media Content Management
  • Create and publish content optimized for YouTube, YouTube Shorts, Instagram, Instagram Reels, Instagram Stories, Facebook, Facebook Reels, X, and other emerging platforms.
  • Understand platform-specific trends, audience behaviors, and best practices.
  • Maintain a consistent publishing schedule across all social media channels.
  • Monitor content performance and adjust strategies based on engagement metrics and audience feedback.
Content Planning & Collaboration
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Marketing to establish weekly and monthly content priorities.
  • Develop and maintain a rolling content calendar supporting product launches, campaigns, and company initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Customer Experience, and other departments to ensure key projects and milestones are documented.
  • Support larger marketing campaigns while maintaining daily content production.
Brand Development
  • Become immersed in the daily operations of Q to accurately represent the company's culture and values.
  • Capture content highlighting innovation, craftsmanship, manufacturing processes, company culture, employee personalities, humor, firearms knowledge, testing, and customer interactions.
  • Ensure all content reflects Q's brand voice and marketing objectives.
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Film Production, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
Experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience creating original digital and social media content, including professional video production, photography, editing, social media management, content planning, and storytelling for consumer brands.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent video editing software.
  • Experience operating DSLR, mirrorless, or cinema cameras.
  • Strong photography and videography skills.
  • Thorough understanding of YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, X, and emerging social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of social media trends, analytics, and platform best practices.
  • Strong storytelling, creative thinking, and visual composition skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and project management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout manufacturing and office environments for extended periods.
