ACCTV Intern (Hourly)

Job Description Summary:

ACCTV Interns, must be a current ACC student to apply, will work with ACCTV's production team to develop, produce, and edit content to run on ACCTV's broadcast channel, YouTube, app, and on other district wide channels at ACC. This can be used in the fall or spring for an internship credit with RTF or other programs if necessary or desired.
The internship starts mid August for the fall semester and through next spring.

Job Description:

Description of Duties and Tasks

  • Primarily will work in multi-camera TV studio with ACCTV at ACC Highland in a variety of roles from pre-preduction preparation with sets, lighting, and equipment. In addition, will work in a production crew capacity in the studio in roles that vary from camera operator, audio technician, teleprompter operator, gfx, production assistant, and/or switcher.

  • Works with field production team on shows and additional shoots as PA, audio recorder, teleprompter operator, and camera assistant.

  • Can work in post production as an editor on projects for ACCTV programming, ads, commercials and promos plus other videos needed from our production team.

  • Can assist with broadcast back-end processing workflow like closed captions, file storage, and archival documentation and storage.

  • Possesses keen attention to detail, works with branding guidelines and standards for channel.

  • Participates in marketing activities, community engagement projects, and other audience interactions as assigned on behalf of Office of College Relations and Marketing.

  • Proactive and positive thinker, able to exercise good judgement with external groups and provides timely updates. Has a positive "go with the flow" attitude as priorities and projects change. Must be able to juggle lots of projects in various stages of production at once.

  • Familiarity with broadcast and social media platforms and various specs required for content.

Additional Job Specific Duties

  • For editor, familiarity with editing workflow and tools such as Adobe Premier for the purpose of editing content when requested.

  • For audio, field boom operator and recordist. In studio, familiarity with Calrec board and working with lavalier mics.

  • For motion graphics, robust use of After Effects program for animation of graphics.

  • For studio interns, familiarity with studio production workflow and equipment which entails but is not limited to experience working with switcher, graphics, cameras, teleprompter, lighting, and audio.

  • Must be comfortable with G Suite apps for spreadsheets, word processing, database, and G drives for edit/share storage, scheduling, and call sheets.
