Position Overview

As a Data Center Learning and Training Systems Manager, you will play a high-impact, hands-on role supporting the rapid build-out and operational excellence of Fleetโ€™s North American data center portfolio. This position is designed to ensure scalable, consistent, and effective learning systems as the organization grows.

You will own the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of technical, safety, and leadership training programs across all site-based roles, including Data Center Technicians, Critical Facilities Engineers, Electrical and Mechanical Leads, Site Managers, Engineers, and other operational staff.

This is a portfolio-wide role with direct influence on uptime, safety performance, employee retention, and the speed and effectiveness of new-site ramp-ups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain the North America Fleet Data Center technical training curriculum (electrical, mechanical, liquid cooling, controls, MOP/SOP/EOP, incident command)
  • Build and deliver blended programs: classroom, hands-on labs, VR/AR simulations, e-learning, and structured OJT
  • Lead new-site training stand-up during construction and commissioning
  • Partner with global SMEs and OEMs (Schneider, Vertiv, NVIDIA, etc.) to keep content current
  • Deliver train-the-trainer sessions to regional leads and site training coordinators
  • Develop and own Learning Management Systems, training libraries, and other training resources for our teams
  • Measure training effectiveness using OKRโ€™s and KPIโ€™s
  • Support staff training and qualification pathways and career development
  • Act as the primary training interface for North America regulatory and compliance audits
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years technical training experience in data centers, power generation, semiconductor, or equivalent 7ร—24 critical environment
  • Expert-level knowledge of hyperscale systems: MV/HV electrical, chillers, CRAH, direct-to-chip & immersion cooling, BMS/EPMS
  • Proven adult-learning skills: curriculum design, facilitation, e-learning authoring (Articulate Storyline/Rise, Camtasia, etc.)
  • Strong safety training background (NFPA 70E, OSHA 30, LOTO, Arc Flash โ€“ certified trainer strongly preferred)
  • Experience with enterprise LMS platforms and learning analytics
Preferred Qualifications
  • Former hands-on field experience as a data center technician, critical facilities engineer, electrician, or mechanical tech (required โ€“ you must be credible in front of veteran techs)
  • CPLP, ATD Master Trainer, or similar credential
  • Experience building VR/AR training for critical environments
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
  • Project management experience (PMP, Scrum, etc.)

Working Conditions

Expected Salary Range

$120,000 - $150,000 Salary + Bonus

Location

Denver, CO with consideration for applicants in Austin, TX, Seattle, WA, Nevada and Northern Virginia. Remote may also be considered.
