Job Description
Process Engineer I, II or III
Location: Albany, NY
Under close supervision, responsible for supporting the development and improvement of plasma etch processes. Process Engineer I defines process formulations, coordinates design reviews, and compiles data to optimize process parameters from pilot to full-scale production.
Responsibilities
  • Develop new or modified process formulations and define requirements for processing or handling equipment.
  • Review and assess processing techniques applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of products.
  • Coordinate design requirement reviews with engineering and scientific teams to ensure process compatibility.
  • Compile and evaluate test data to determine process limits and variables.
  • Assist in planning and conceptualizing projects related to process development or equipment automation.
  • Learn and apply professional engineering concepts and company policies to resolve routine process issues.

Education/Exp
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field
No experience necessary. Previous experience or relevant internship preferred but is not required

Responsibilities:

  • Define equipment requirements and review processing methods for compatibility and efficiency.
  • Analyze data to establish process control limits and troubleshoot process deviations.
  • Collaborate with design engineers and manufacturing teams to resolve process-related challenges.
  • Support automation and new technology evaluations for process improvements.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to departmental best practices.

Minimum Reqs
Education/Exp
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field
  • 2 years of relevant experience

  • Develop advanced process control strategies and equipment specifications.

  • Contribute to departmental policies and standards related to process engineering.

Physical Demands and Work Conditions
The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This job operates in an office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 35 pounds. This position also requires 4 to 6 hours per day at a computer screen/keyboard.
Salary Ranges
$67,979.86 - $96,098.86
Individual pay is determined based on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, experience, skills, job-related knowledge, relevant education, certifications, and/or training. In addition to base salary, we offer (full time regular employees ) a comprehensive benefits package and for certain roles eligibility in our bonus plan and long-term incentives as applicable.
