Qualifications:To qualify for the position of Fall College Interns (Student Volunteer), at GS-0099-00, you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below.
Basic Qualifications:
To be eligible for this internship ALL the following requirements must be met:
Student Status: You must be considered in good academic standings by the school, and be a second or third-year Law Student in the Fall 2026 to serve as interns in the Dallas and Fort Worth locations.
Grade Point Average: You must have at least a 2.5 GPA.
Citizenship: Student Interns must be United States citizens or owe permanent allegiance to the United States. (Currently, natives of American Samoa, Swains Island and certain inhabitants of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands are the only groups that owe permanent allegiance to the United States).
Volunteer Agreement: All interns are required to sign the Participant Agreement.
Qualification requirements as outlined below.
Background Investigation: You must successfully complete a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.
There is a required background check because of the sensitive nature of the work performed by our office. The U.S. Attorney's office is a Drug Free workplace, and a drug test may be conducted during the background investigation.
You MUST meet all qualification requirements by the 06/26/2026 of this announcement.

Failure to do so may result in an ineligible rating.See the Required Documents section for important notes about what must be included in your resume.Education:You must submit a copy of your transcripts or enrollment/acceptance letter. Current Unofficial transcripts or proof of current enrollment, i.e. recent letter from the registrar's office, will be accepted in the application package.
If you do not submit a transcript indicating your current enrollment status or acceptance status, you will not be considered for this position.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in a conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying. For special instructions pertaining to foreign education and a list of organizations that can evaluate foreign education, see the Department of Education website. If you are qualifying on foreign education, you MUST submit proof of creditability of education as evaluated by a credentialing agency.
