The Summer Accounting and Finance Internship Program provides undergraduate or graduate students with hands on exposure to corporate accounting and finance operations. Interns will work closely with the Finance & Accounting team to support day to day accounting activities, financial reporting, and process improvement initiatives. This program emphasizes practical learning, professional development, and real world application of accounting principles.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month end close support
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes (invoice review, data entry, payment tracking)
  • Assist with financial reporting, variance analysis, and internal management reports
  • Assist in the preparation of procurement reports and presentations.
  • Help maintain accounting documentation and support audit readiness (internal or external)
  • Participate in process improvement and documentation initiatives within the Finance department
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as assigned
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand business operations and financial impactsarticipate in supplier audits and assessments.

By the end of the internship, participants will: Gain practical experience in corporate accounting operations Understand month end close processes and financial controls Apply accounting concepts learned in coursework to real world situations Develop professional communication and business skills in a corporate environment

Qualifications

Required: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Basic understanding of accounting principles (GAAP preferred) Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, data analysis) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to handle confidential information professionally Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred: Completed or currently enrolled in Intermediate Accounting Exposure to ERP systems or accounting software Interest in corporate accounting, audit, or financial analysis
