About the Role & Program:

Your Role...The Park Operations Line of Business Attractions team provides subject matter expertise to the 18 attractions areas in the 4 Walt Disney World Theme Parks. We assist in the handling and implementation of procedural changes through documentation updates, offer thought partnership that promotes Guest/Cast safety and operational improvements, and provide feedback to the areas by way of audits. This position supports our team and reports to the Senior Manager of Attractions.

The approximate dates of this internship are January 2027 - June 2027.

What You Will Do:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Compiling and summarizing near miss events from the areas
  • Reviewing reported events in a search for emerging trends
  • Reviewing area-specific audit reports and compiling presentations for quarterly meetings with Operations partners
  • Partnering and interacting with the teams in the Parks and with various teams on the Engineering side of our business to collect data used to promote both safety and consistency
  • Updating attractions-specific scorecards when procedural changes are published
  • Assisting with some auditing functions including daily turnover audits and checklist retention audits
  • Using internal tracking tools, follow action items to completion and follow up with Operations areas as needed
  • Compiling and distributing monthly audit results

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Ability to learn quickly and implement new knowledge
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to apply an eye for details while synthesizing large amount of data
  • Comfortable functioning in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous attractions operations experience
  • Ability to use SharePoint and Power Apps
  • Ability to quickly learn the nuances of our side of the business

Education:

  • Junior or Senior year preferred
  • Major or previous coursework in English, Hospitality, Tourism, Theme Park and Attraction Management, or related major preferred

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
  • Be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
  • Fully available for the duration of the internship (approximately 40 hours each week)
  • Have reliable transportation to/from work
