Job Description:

The Business Continuity Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the resilience of healthcare operations by assisting and guiding Department leaders in developing, implementing, and maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery plans. This position requires a proactive professional with a deep understanding of healthcare systems, risk management, emergency management and regulatory compliance to mitigate operational disruptions and safeguard patient care during emergencies. This professional position will play a pivotal role during Epic implementation through the Business Continuity Work Group and moving forward with similar technology platforms.Education: • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or an extensive related background • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Emergency Management, Risk Management, Business Continuity, Information Technology or a related fieldExperience: • Required: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, or emergency management; preferably in a healthcare settingSkills: • Performance improvement and/or project management strategies • Strong knowledge of healthcare operations, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards. • Proven experience in risk assessment, crisis management, and recovery planning. • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask in high-pressure situations. • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage diverse teams and stakeholders. • Proficiency in business continuity software and tools is a plus. • Familiarity with ISO: 22301 Business Continuity or similar bodies of work • Be able to lift, carry, and pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basisLicensure/Certification/Registration: ▪ Preferred: • CBCP- Certified Business Continuity Professional • Master Exercise Practitioner (MEP) or Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) certification • Incident Command System (ICS) or HICS 100, 200, 700, and 800 certification • Incident Command System (ICS) 120. An Introduction to Exercises • Incident Command System (ICS) 300 and 400 • Additional ICS related courses of interest: 130, 201, 230.d, 454, and 2001 • Any other Emergency Management or Business Continuity related certification
