Interns typically work with organizations such as government agencies, NGOs, or international bodies, assisting with research, data analysis, community outreach, and emergency planning. This role helps interns develop practical skills in disaster preparedness, response, and recovery, while gaining a deeper understanding of risk reduction strategies. This hands-on experience is valuable for building a foundational understanding of the field and can help you develop skills relevant to a variety of career paths in disaster management.
