Job description

Green Tree School & Services in Philadelphia provides full-time, out-of-district programs for students with autism and emotional support needs. With integrated clinical, behavioral, and academic services, Green Tree School & Services empowers students to achieve independence while upholding values of safety, inclusion, and excellence. As a School Social Worker at Green Tree School & Services, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex educational and behavioral needs while partnering with families, educators, and community providers to create meaningful pathways for success.

What You’ll Need

  • Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution and PA Licensed Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker credential

  • Minimum two years of experience in a school setting, including internship experience

  • Valid Act 34, Act 151, and Act 114 clearances

  • Knowledge of child welfare, special education, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations

  • Strong communication, case management, documentation, and collaboration skills with diverse stakeholders

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver individual counseling, group counseling, and social-emotional learning instruction to support student growth

  • Collaborate with families, educators, community providers, and multidisciplinary teams to remove barriers to success

  • Contribute to IEP development, progress monitoring, documentation, and data-driven intervention planning

  • Assess student risk and facilitate access to crisis intervention and emergency services when needed

  • Support staff development and participate in ongoing professional learning related to school social work and special education
