Job description

Diagnostic X-Ray Technologist (DEXA Training Provided) -

Olney, MD

Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

$29 - $42/hour

We are hiring a Diagnostic X-Ray Technologist for a full-time opportunity at a busy outpatient imaging center in Olney, MD. This role includes general radiography and DEXA (bone density) scans - training will be provided if needed.

This is a great opportunity for technologists seeking stable hours, no weekends, and a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures following established protocols

• Prepare and position patients for imaging exams

• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures

• Maintain compliance with radiation safety (ALARA) standards

• Review images for quality and accuracy

• Accurately document patient records and exam details

• Assist with patient education and workflow coordination

Requirements

• ARRT (R) Certification - Required

• Active state license (or eligibility)

• BLS Certification (within 60 days of hire)

• Minimum 1 year of X-ray / Radiologic Technologist experience

• Associate degree or completion of an accredited radiology program

Preferred Qualifications

• DEXA experience (not required - training provided)

• Strong communication and patient care skills
