Description

American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for an acute care hospital setting, requiring 2+ years of experience and strong proficiency with the Siemens Symbia Evo camera.

Details
  • Acute care hospital setting in a Nuclear Medicine unit
  • Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM
  • 6-week contract assignment
  • Charting performed in Cerner EMR
  • Technologist will work independently in the nuclear medicine department
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
  • Associate's degree or equivalent in Nuclear Medicine Radiology
  • ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) and CNMT (NMTCB) certifications required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Strong working knowledge of the Siemens Symbia Evo camera and quality control (QC) protocols required
  • Proficiency with Cerner EMR
  • Venipuncture skills required
  • License required if applicable
Additional Information
  • Responsibilities include injecting radioisotopes, imaging patients, performing diagnostic nuclear scans per NRC standards, DEXA scans, and venipuncture
  • Provides diagnostic images to referring physicians and communicates results as clinically warranted
  • Responsible for patient transfers and maintaining a properly stocked, sanitized, and equipment-ready exam room
  • Follows all patient safety protocols including dual patient identification, infection control, and confidentiality standards
  • Provides patient and family education and documents all care in the EHR
