Donor Engagement Intern
Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt (20-29 hours/week)
Location: Club Support Center
Schedule: Hybrid (combination of on-site and remote work)Job SummaryThe Donor Engagement Intern will support the Resource Development team in donor stewardship, data management, reporting, and administrative tasks. This role is ideal for someone interested in nonprofit fundraising and donor relations. The intern will assist with donor acknowledgments, CRM updates, invoicing, and reporting to help strengthen relationships with supporters.Key ResponsibilitiesData Management:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in Salesforce, including contact information, address changes, and other relevant details.
  • Assist with merging duplicate records and cleaning up outdated or inactive accounts to ensure data integrity.
  • Support the creation of donor lists for campaigns, acknowledgments, and reporting purposes.
  • Help generate basic reports on donor activity, contributions, and engagement metrics for the Resource Development team.
  • Learn and apply best practices for data entry and management to support organizational compliance and efficiency.
Stewardship & Communication:
  • Help prepare donor thank-you letters and acknowledgment emails.
Gift Entry, Invoicing & Reporting:
  • Assist with event-related invoicing and ensure accurate documentation of expenses.
  • Record in-kind donations and assist with coding gifts in Salesforce under supervision.
  • Support invoicing processes related to donations and pledges.
  • Work with Finance to reconcile donation records and assist with monthly reporting.
  • Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in college or recent graduate preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with technology and willing to learn CRM systems (Salesforce experience a plus).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry, reporting, and basic analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interest in nonprofit work and donor relations.
