What you'll be doing
The Tennessee Titans are looking for an organized, relationship-driven, and mission-minded Manager, Community Relations. This role is responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of community programs, signature events, youth initiatives, volunteer opportunities, and philanthropic activations while cultivating meaningful relationships with nonprofit organizations, schools, government agencies, corporate partners, and community leaders.
The Manager, Community Relations, will oversee projects from concept through completion, ensuring programs are thoughtfully planned, effectively executed, accurately measured, and aligned with the Foundation's strategic priorities. This position will also support fundraising initiatives, donor engagement opportunities, grant activation, and cross-functional collaboration across the organization. The ideal candidate is an exceptional project manager, relationship builder, and community ambassador who thrives in a fast-paced sports environment and is passionate about creating meaningful impact throughout Tennessee and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
Community Programming
  • Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of community impact programs and Foundation initiatives
  • Manage multiple community initiatives simultaneously while ensuring excellence in execution
  • Develop innovative programming that advances the Foundation's strategic priorities and responds to community needs
  • Execute programs from ideation through completion, including planning, budgeting, logistics, implementation, and post-event evaluation
  • Ensure programs are impactful, scalable, inclusive, and aligned with organizational goals
  • Maintain annual programming calendars and project timelines

Community Partnerships
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with nonprofit organizations, schools, civic leaders, corporate partners, government agencies, and community stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to expand partnerships and deepen community engagement
  • Serve as a trusted representative of the Tennessee Titans Foundation and ONE Community throughout the community
  • Represent the organization at community meetings, events, and partner activations

Operations & Project Management
  • Coordinate cross-functional project teams to ensure seamless execution of community initiatives
  • Oversee event logistics, participant registration, communications, volunteer coordination, and operational planning
  • Manage program budgets, inventories, timelines, and operational resources
  • Ensure timely fulfillment of Foundation commitments, sponsorship deliverables, and partnership obligations
  • Maintain organized documentation, project plans, and operational procedures
  • Provide day-to-day guidance to coordinators, interns, volunteers, and event staff
  • Contribute to department planning, strategic initiatives, and process improvements

Storytelling & Communications
  • Partner with Communications, Marketing, social media, Creative, and other internal departments to amplify community initiatives
  • Support storytelling efforts that highlight the impact of Foundation programs and community partnerships
  • Assist with content development for reports, presentations, grant applications, and donor communications

What you'll bring
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Public Relations, Sports Management, Business, Education, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in community relations, nonprofit management, philanthropy, corporate social responsibility, event management, or community engagement
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong relationship-building experience with community organizations and corporate partners
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities
  • Experience managing budgets and event logistics
  • Strong analytical skills with experience measuring program outcomes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working within professional sports, entertainment, foundations, or nonprofit organizations
  • Familiarity with volunteer engagement and corporate giving programs
  • Experience with grant management and donor stewardship
  • Knowledge of the Middle Tennessee and/or Tennessee nonprofit and community landscape

  • Communication: Represents the Foundation and ONE Community and clearly communicates with nonprofits, schools, government agencies, and corporate partners, while contributing to reports, grant applications, and donor communications.
  • Collaboration: Builds strong cross-departmental relationships and works effectively with teams across Communications, Marketing, Social Media, and Creative to amplify community initiatives, alongside close work with Fundraising and Donor Engagement teams.
  • Problem Solving: Manages a diverse portfolio of simultaneous programs, requiring the ability to troubleshoot operational issues in real time and adapt to programs as necessary.
  • Adaptability: Balances community programming, fundraising support, storytelling, and leadership responsibilities across a fast-paced sports environment where priorities shift constantly. This role needs to be comfortable operating across many workstreams at once.
  • Strategic Thinking: Develops innovative programming that advances the Foundation's strategic priorities, maintains annual calendars, and ensuring programs are impactful, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Customer Focus: Delivers exceptional customer service in every interaction and designs programs based on community needs, participant experience, and partner satisfaction throughout.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds
  • Schedule: Ability to work non-traditional hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as dictated by the event schedule
