Job description

We are a leading global software company dedicated to the world of computer aided design, 3D modeling and simulation- helping innovative global manufacturers design better products, faster! With the resources of a large company, and the energy of a software start-up, we have fun together while creating a world class software portfolio. Our culture encourages creativity, welcomes fresh thinking, and focuses on growth, so our people, our business, and our customers can achieve their full potential.
University Relations (UR) is a strategic arm of our People & Organization (P&O) and Talent Acquisition (TA) functions at Siemens Digital Industries Software. Our team's mission is to attract, select, and retain the best, next generation of talent for Siemens Digital Industries Software.
We are currently seeking a Recruiter for our nationwide internship program and entry level talent programs! This includes our Strategic Student Program, Multiple Engineering Cooperative Program, Associate Applications Engineer Program, and Atlas Graduate Program. The UR Recruiter will join a team who hire, onboard, and support approximately 300 students hired across the US each year. You will assist with high-volume recruiting, attend in-person campus events such as career fairs, and plan events for interns participating in our program. We're looking for someone who can bring fresh ideas to the team, and who is extremely detail oriented.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Outside of your team (University Relations), you will need to build and maintain strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders:
    • Hiring Managers across our EDA portfolio
    • Other HR functions - HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Payroll, etc.
    • The Executive Leadership Team
    • Current interns in the program
    • Prospective candidates on college campuses across the US, including student organizations
    • Advisors and other key university contacts on target college campuses
  • You will learn the Siemens software portfolio, as you fill intern positions for our Electronic Design Automation organizations that have different needs and talent pools.
  • Host intake calls, help hiring managers to write effective job descriptions, review resumes, host phone screenings, and coordinate hiring manager interviews.
  • Ensure compliance with internal hiring policies and procedures, as well as applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations (particularly with tracking activity within Siemens' Applicant Tracking System).
  • Extend written and verbal offers.
  • Partner with HR Operations to complete onboarding for all new hires.
  • Provide regular and consistent communication to hiring managers.
  • Prioritize external partnerships (student organizations, non-profits) that align with Siemens talent needs.
  • Diligent tracking of program headcount and future hiring needs.
  • Regularly benchmark other programs in the tech industry as well as recruiting trends to ensure Siemens maintains a competitive position in the talent market.
  • Serve as a thought-partner with hiring managers and executives. Provide suggestions for program improvement with data to support your business case.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field
  • Based or willing to relocate to Wilsonville, OR
  • Some HR experience, particularly in recruiting, is preferred - but we are more focused on your initiative & eagerness to learn, rather than years of work experience! Experience with HR tools and technology, including Workday and an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), is a bonus.
  • 25% of travel required - travel to college campuses during peak recruiting seasons for various events - meet & greets, information sessions, career fairs, etc.
  • Interpersonal:
    • Excellent written & verbal communication
    • Able to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
    • Collaborate well with others
  • Other:
    • Able to balance multiple high-priority projects at one time
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Ability to follow-up and follow-through on commitments
    • Keen attention to detail
    • Strong MS Office Suites skills required
    • Large event planning experience preferred
    • Comfortable with public speaking and leading presentations or trainings with large groups
