Work you'll do As a Summer Scholar in our Government & Public Services practice, you will be an integral member of a client service team, collaborating with diverse and talented team members to help solve multidimensional problems, improve performance, and generate value for our clients. Setting our people up for success is a priority, and we are currently recruiting Tech Packages Summer Scholars whose skills and interests align with the below description: Tech Packages Summer Scholar This Summer Scholar is a technology professional who supports clients in the effective implementation and operation of technology packages. Demonstrates curiosity and problem-solving skills to assist with requirements gathering, system configuration, testing, and troubleshooting. Additional responsibilities include user training, data migration, upgrade management, performance monitoring, and stakeholder communication—leveraging technical and business insights to ensure technology packages are configured, maintained, and optimized to meet client needs. A successful candidate would possess these skills: Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team Effective written and verbal communication skills Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product Ability to build and sustain professional relationships Ability to lead projects or workstreams Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor Ability to meet deadlines Ability to provide clear guidance to others The team Deloitte’s Government & Public Services practice serves government agencies, higher education institutions, nonprofit organizations, and other public sector organizations. Teams work across strategy, operations, technology, and transformation efforts to help clients improve mission outcomes and organizational performance. Professionals in the practice have opportunities to build specialized experience while working in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. Qualifications Required: Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and expected to graduate by Summer 2028 pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance Technology, Information Systems, Technology Management, Data Analytics, or a related/equivalent program Strong academic track record (3.0 cumulative GPA required) You must reside within a commutable distance (e.g. 100-mile radius) of your assigned office with the ability to commute daily, if required Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment Preferred: 3.4 cumulative GPA preferred Internship, project, or coursework experience in computer science, engineering, finance technology, information systems, data analytics or technology management This is an entry-level opportunity intended for candidates interested in beginning or building a career in this field.
