Lab TechnicianLaunch Your Career in a Hands-On Laboratory Environment

Are you a recent science graduate looking to build your laboratory career? We are seeking a motivated Lab Technician to join our team and gain valuable experience in analytical testing, quality control, laboratory operations, and the petroleum industry. This is an excellent opportunity for entry-level candidates who are eager to apply their scientific knowledge, learn industry-standard techniques, and grow within a collaborative laboratory environment.

You'll work alongside experienced technicians, receive hands-on training, and play an important role in delivering accurate, high-quality laboratory results.

What You'll Do
  • Perform laboratory testing and analyses using established methods and procedures.
  • Prepare chemical solutions, reagents, and samples for testing.
  • Accurately record, calculate, and report test results.
  • Assist with the maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
  • Support quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) activities to ensure reliable results.
  • Learn and apply laboratory testing methods, industry standards, and safety procedures.
  • Work with chemicals, petrochemicals, and petroleum products while following strict safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with a close-knit team of laboratory professionals to meet testing schedules and operational goals.
  • Analyze data, identify trends, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in special projects and additional laboratory activities as needed.

For candidates with crude assay experience, opportunities may include:

  • Performing crude oil assay distillation testing in accordance with ASTM methods.
  • Conducting wet chemistry analyses and specialized petroleum testing.
  • Interpreting laboratory data, graphs, and control charts.
  • Supporting crude assay trending and data evaluation activities.

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
  • Basic math skills, including percentages, ratios, and calculations.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, ethics, and teamwork.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during laboratory operations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Environmental Science, or another related scientific field.
  • Recent graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Previous laboratory coursework, internships, undergraduate research, or hands-on lab experience.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment, wet chemistry techniques, or quality control practices.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
