Job Summary

Supports the development, integration, and automation of cybersecurity solutions that protect PG&E systems, applications, and infrastructure. Applies programming, scripting, and AI/ML concepts to improve threat detection, incident response, and operational efficiency while supporting cybersecurity operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows supporting cybersecurity operations.
  • Assist in integrating security tools, including SIEM, EDR, IAM, and cloud security technologies.
  • Support AI/ML-enabled detection capabilities such as anomaly detection and alert prioritization.
  • Monitor and investigate security alerts using established processes and automation tools.
  • Support vulnerability management, incident response, and compliance-related activities.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines, analytics, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
  • Document processes, workflows, and technical solutions to support operational consistency and audit readiness.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation and process improvement.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $45.67 to $68.75.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.

Experience

  • 0-2 years of relevant technical experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Candidates graduating in 2025 or 2026 are strongly preferred.

Experience

  • One or more years of relevant technical experience gained through internships, projects, research, coursework, or professional employment.

Technical Skills

  • Python, PowerShell, SQL, or similar programming and scripting languages.
