Job description

Responsible forassisting with requirements gathering and performing software development, testing, deployment, maintenance, data processing, reporting, and application support under the direction of the IT Manager or senior Software Developers.

Develops and maintains software applications, supports the company's ERP system, system integrations, structured data processes, and server-side web development. Utilizes APIs, file-based data exchanges, Microsoft 365 tools, and AI tools as appropriate to support programming, documentation, reporting, data analysis, productivity, and business process improvement. Performs assigned software development tasks independently once requirements and direction are provided.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list and additional tasks may be assigned. To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Assist with gathering, documenting, and clarifying software, reporting, data, and system requirements.
Perform assigned ERP programming and support related to the company's ERP system and custom reporting tools.
Support system integrations, including connections between ERP data and other internal or external systems through files, scripts, APIs, databases, or other approved methods.
Support server-side web programming, with PHP experience preferred.
Work with text-based data files, including TXT and CSV files, for imports, exports, reports, and data processing.
Troubleshoot assigned application, report, data, integration, web, or user issues.
Test assigned changes and document testing results.
Follow existing coding standards, file organization practices, naming conventions, documentation procedures, and change processes.
Maintain an organized codebase for assigned work within existing standards.
Support Microsoft 365 tools and workflows where applicable.
Use AI tools responsibly, where appropriate, to support productivity, documentation,programming, reporting, data analysis, or business process improvement.
Communicate clearly with the IT Manager, higher-level Software Developer, users, and other team members regarding assigned work, questions, issues, and progress.
Maintain confidentiality and follow company standards for data accuracy, system access, cybersecurity, and information protection.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Completed bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Software Development.
0-2 years of programming, scripting, reporting, data processing, software support, web development, ERP support, or related technical experience.
Coursework, internship experience, project work, or practical experience with programming, databases, data files, reporting, PHP, APIs, or business systems preferred.
