Job description

Custom cabinet shop seeking experienced cabinetmaker. Medium size shop environment. Building one-off custom pieces. A qualified candidate must meet to following abilities and experience:

  • Minimum 5 years experience with custom cabinetry fabrication.

  • Build custom cabinetry ready for installation.

  • Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.

  • Create material takeoffs and cut sheets from detailed blueprints and shop drawing specifications.

  • Cutting and joining wood to make parts according to the plans.

  • Assembling cabinets and furniture from shaped components.

  • Install cabinet and furniture hardware according to specifications, including slides, hinges, locks and handles.

  • Utilize hand and power tools such drills, sanders, and routers to complete work assignments.

  • Read tape measure for measuring and cutting cabinet components.

  • Fabricate jigs and fixtures for accurate and repeatable execution of critical fit components.

  • Skill in using veneer, solid wood, plywood and other types of wood.

  • Operate a variety of heavy woodworking machines such as panel saw, table saw, shaper, planer, jig saw, band saw, radial saw, drill press, etc.

  • Assist with loading cabinetry for delivery. Assist with cleaning shop when needed.
