About the Internship

This internship provides students and recent graduates with practical experience in public accounting while working directly with our Tax professionals.

You'll assist with tax preparation, research, client service, workflow management, and special projects while learning how businesses and their owners make financial decisions.

What You'll DoTax Preparation & Compliance
  • Assist in preparing federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and C corporations.
  • Organize tax documents and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare workpapers and assist with tax return assembly.
  • Support quarterly estimate calculations and tax projections.
  • Assist with extension filings and other compliance activities.
Tax Research
  • Research federal and state tax issues.
  • Assist in identifying tax-saving opportunities for clients.
  • Summarize research findings for managers and partners.
  • Stay current on changes in tax laws and regulations.
Client Support
  • Assist with client communication and information gathering.
  • Help organize documents received through client portals.
  • Support onboarding of new clients.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while learning Keystone's client-first philosophy.
Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with Tax Managers, CPAs, and Principals on a variety of client engagements.
