Job description

Associate Fund Accountant

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Associate Fund Accountant is the entry point into Acuity's Fund Accounting team โ€” handsโ€‘on work with real client portfolios from day one, with a clearly defined path to growing responsibility as skills develop.

ABOUT ACUITY

Acuity Fund Solutions is a fund administration firm serving private equity, venture capital, real estate, private credit, hedge fund, and family office clients. Built from the ground up for accuracy and responsiveness, Acuity gives fund managers a back office they can rely on without building one in-house.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Process and record daily transaction activity โ€” trades, cash movements, corporate actions โ€” into the fund accounting system on each client's schedule
  • Perform cash reconciliations between the accounting system and external account records
  • Perform position and price reconciliations, flagging variances for senior review rather than resolving them independently
  • Assist in preparing investor statements, fundโ€‘level financial statements, and supporting schedules for client reporting packages
  • Support processing of investor capital activity โ€” contributions, withdrawals, capital calls, distributions, and transfers โ€” through document review, data entry, and checklist completion
  • Maintain organized, auditโ€‘ready workpapers for all assigned tasks
  • Follow established checklists and procedures precisely, flagging process gaps rather than working around them
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Strong Excel skills
  • High attention to detail and comfort working within structured checklists and controls
  • Clear written communication
NICE TO HAVE
  • Prior internship or professional experience in fund accounting or fund administration
  • Exposure to a fund accounting platform (Allvue, Investran, Advent Geneva)
  • Progress toward CPA licensure
WHAT ACUITY OFFERS
  • Hybrid work arrangement based in Scottsdale, AZ
  • Paid time off that grows with tenure, plus separate paid sick leave
  • Company holidays aligned to the market calendar, with flexible holiday scheduling
  • Industryโ€‘leading paid parental leave
  • A firm small enough that your work is visible, with a defined path for growth

Equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status.
