Job description

Overview

Sierra Lobo, offers customers a full range of professional and technical capabilities, including Test and Evaluation, Systems Engineering, and Advanced Technologies.  We also develop products and processes related to Cryogenic Fluid and Thermal Management Systems, Densified Propellant Management Systems, and Prototype Extreme Pressure and Temperature Systems.  Our customers include the Department of Defense (DoD), the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

This position is located at our Milan Ohio facility.

Responsibilities

Seeking a motivated, technically inclined candidate to support project organization, technical coordination, and interface with project management and lead engineers and technicians to ensure technical deliverables are completed within cost and schedule. This position is open to recent graduates as well as candidates with relevant hands-on experience. An engineering degree is preferred but not required.

This is an onsite position requiring organized, proactive communication and a strong "go-getter" mindset when working across all elements of a project.

TYPICAL FUNCTIONS

  • Adhere to all applicable Company, Customer, and Industry safety standards and practices.
  • Support various team functions common in aerospace and/or facility projects, including purchasing/procurement, fabrication, shipping/receiving, design and test engineering, project management, and scheduling.
  • Organize and coordinate multiple tasks across project leads and management to maintain schedule and deliverables.
  • Interface with project leads/management to support integrated master schedule updates and task tracking.
  • Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of relevant experience required; 4-year degree preferred (ideally in Engineering, or a related technical field).
  • Recent graduates with strong technical experience (internships, co-ops, hands-on projects) are encouraged to apply.
  • Engineering degree is preferred but not required.
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills with a proactive, self-starting attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and drive tasks to completion.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software required.
  • Experience in roles such as expeditor, procurement, materials management, scheduling, or related project support functions is a plus.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience in a technical environment is a plus.
    • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and phone skills.
    • Ability to hear normal conversation. One eye (minimum) correctable to 20/20.
    • Ability to safely stand and walk for extended periods, walk on unpaved and uneven surfaces, climb ladders and steep stairs, and lift and carry items up to 25 pounds.
