Job description
We are seeking an Interior Design Intern who is eager to learn, explore new ideas, and contribute to creating meaningful brand experiences through design. This fall internship is aligned with the academic school year and will be based at KI’s Corporate Office in Green Bay.
If you’re passionate about interior design and curious about the intersection of design and marketing, this role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience while learning from seasoned professionals. You’ll build real-world skills and play a part in shaping how design influences brand storytelling.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain design library
- Assist interior design team with concepting and specifying showrooms and trade shows
- Help with designing and styling sets for photo shoots
- Creating furniture typicals and mood boards
- Research trends in contract interior design for core markets (corporate, education, healthcare)
What you Need to Succeed:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Environmental Design, or a related field
- Foundational understanding of design principles, space planning, materials, and finishes
- Familiarity with how interior design can support branding and marketing goals
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Basic knowledge of CAD tools (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar) is a plus
- Ability to create mood boards, visual concepts, and presentation layouts
- Comfortable researching and specifying furnishings, materials, and finishes
- Strong visual storytelling, brainstorming, and creative concepting abilities
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Detailoriented, reliable, and eager to learn in a fastpaced environment
