JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an Entry-Level Purchasing Project Manager that will serve as a main point of contact for Purchasing related activities within assigned Launch Programs and Engineering Changes. Working closely with Engineering, Launch PM’s and internal teams. The primary focus is coordinating and tracking key Purchasing Deliverables to ensure it is aligned with Program timing, budget and objectives.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can balance multiple initiatives and works great under pressure and tight deadlines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support purchasing activities for assigned Launch Programs, Engineering Changes (EC’s), New Development Opportunities from start to finish
  • Track Purchasing Program milestones and deadlines
  • Assist buyers / managers with day-to-day activities (quotes, pricing, delivery schedules, etc.)
  • Attend Launch Programs, EC’s meetings
  • Communicate regularly with Buyers, Launch PM’s, Engineering, Operations, Finance teams and other cross functional teams
  • Identify risks (delays, roadblocks) and help develop solutions
  • Keep accurate records / documentation for all Launch Programs and EC’s
  • Support process improvements in Purchasing and Project Tracking

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 0–2 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or project coordination
  • Basic understanding of procurement or supply chain processes
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Comfortable working with data and spreadsheets (Excel or similar tools)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time

TRAVEL:

  • 5%-10%

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Internship or co-op experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing
  • Exposure to ERP systems (such as SAP, QAD or Oracle)
  • Basic understanding of contracts and supplier negotiations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ERP/procurement systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills
